Default Need Help With Stealthbox Asap!!

Hi guys....ordered my whole system, but need some help.

I love the look and the fact that itll save me a ton of time....of the JL Audio s2000 stealthbox. However, I do NOT want the sub. I got an Alpine Type R 10" . Is there anything on the market, that mounts the sub EXACTLY like the JL box without the sub... (ps..i cannot use lucids because the sub is too big.) Thanks a lot,

Dave

you might want to search on boxes and tool well... there have been a number of threads on this topic.

also, b0mbrman has a number of boxes he's drawn out that fit in that application...

or just take it to a shop, they can build a box that fits that space. it's not that complicated a box to build either.

I agree! I just finished ordering my system (which included the stealthbox). All of the installers said they could make a comparable box for less money. I went with the stealthbox only because it was a known commodity and I had worked the price down enough that it wasn't worth it to me (since I was going with the 10W3V@ anyway)

I just dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on a box.

The spare is gone so I will get rid of the tool kit as well. I want to make the sub sit like so / with the cone flush with the floor. Anyone with a good idea on what to do? I searched and not much help. THanks again fellas. Also....the lucid adapter to keep the side panel controls....where are the connectinfg wires...are they behind the panel on the left of the steering wheel? or behind the HU? Thanks.

my guess for a shop to build one would be $150-200. you need to price it out. i saw that someone from here went to Tweeter and they built one for around that much.

if you're handy with tools, you could make one with about $30 in supplies. but if you can't do it yourself this is your only option.

the connecting wires for Lucid/Modifry's DCI are behind the headunit. they come w/ a harness for tying the aftermarket headunit into the factory wiring.

if you were to buy a stealthbox, you'd spend close to $400 on a box. i don't think that's necessary either. if you're handy with tools and MDF, b0mbrman has several boxes that he sketched out and that others have used...

bah, i've searched as well and can't find those threads... hopefully he'll see this and you can ask him for those drawings... i'm sure if you PM him, he'd probably be willing to point you to them.
