Question My radio is dead, help!

Hi all,

I tried to jump start my car, hooked up the cable the wrong way accidentally (long story.....Steve feel free to jump in). Sparks was flying left and right and my battery fuse was blown!

Well, I replaced the battery fuse, the battery and everything works (including the GPS, the EDFC.....)

But I have no power for my Alpine HU and my CD changer....

I checked many fuses including the following and they were not blown:

(1) Battery lead (yellow cable) with fuse connect the HU to the power source---checked!

(2) ACG fuse---checked!

(3) Radio fuse----checked!

(4) Accessory fuse---checked!

(5) The fuse Glenn placed above my battery to protect my HU---checked

I have no clue what else I need to check.

Any idea?

I would try and replace the fuses one by one... sometimes you can't see if the fuse is blown or not.

see my post in New England - you have a 9835 and there is a fuse inside the big white box that is behind the stereo - i am sure that is blown -

as for your changer - you used the IA net cable so if there is no power to the stereo, you wont get power to the changer

come by this weekend and we can swap it out OR you can remove the stereo and swap it yourself - again it's the white square box that is connected to your 9835
