HMV is the only record store I know that let's you return opened CD's with a receipt. There was this kid in my school who would buy CD's burn 10 copies to sell and return the original. And I agree, with all of the great features it has, the Pioneer unit is still overpriced.

If I was to make a wish, I'd want a head unit with DVD-data capabilities and a changer that does the same. I just got a Sony DVD+RW drive. 4.7 GB of MP3's per disk, rewritable. It also burns to standard MPEG2 format for playing on standard component DVD units. Very cool toy.
