Default Modifry or KCE-865B?

Hi All

I am going to be buying a Alpine DVA-9861Ri or IDA-x001 headunit soon, not sure which one yet. Still trying to weight up the pro's and cons's

Anyway my question is what dash interface harness do you recommend I go for?

Either the Alpine KCE-865B or the Modifry one.

Cheers

Hello,

I cannot speak for the Alpine KCE-865B, as I have neither seen it nor have found any good information on it. On the other hand, I can speak for the Modifry DCI unit very well: IT IS GREAT and I LOVE IT! I have had mine since 2003, just after I bought my S2000 and subsequent Alpine HU.

If I were you, I would check out the Modifry DCI, and compare the features to the Alpine unit. The fact that the Modifry unit actually gives you a few more "key combinations" over what was available with only the stock HU is very nice. Look at the second feature box on Modifry's DCI Web Page to understand what I mean; it is the box entitled "Functions provided by pressing multiple buttons."

Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

If you are fortunate enough to find a KCE-865B, purchase it.

Do Not post comments about things you clearly know nothing about. _-NFR

^^^
Seems a bit harsh, that is a heck of a statement. Modfry has a proven rep and the quality is top notch

Having had the KCE and the DCI in the same car on the same set up I have to say Modifry every time.
Twice as many functions with tap N press, as well as speed sensitive volume!

Mikey,

What did you not like with the Alpine unit as compared to the DCI?
