Modifry DCI PnP harness for Kenwood KIV-BT901
I'm trying to order me a wired harness and a DCI plug and play harness for my Kenwood Kiv-BT901.
Tried emailing him, but no response for more than a week now.
I dont understand the statement "As of May 2011 all Wired DCIs for Alpine, Kenwood, JVC, and Clarion use a different connector.
If you are buying a DCI or harness for one of these please check to see if you need the 8 or 6-pin version before ordering."
Shouldnt this be applicable whether or not you have an existing wire harness or not?
I honestly dont understand how the DCI black box has the 3.5mm integrated in it. what is this for?
Also what happens to the stock DCI plug harness in the car? Is it no longer used?
I hope I dont sound confusing. Trust me, im lost and dont want to buy the wrong thing. Thanks for the help.

To connect any aftermarket headunit to the car's wiring harness, you need
an adapter harness. You can either buy a regular adapter harness that you
splice to the new headunit's harness as well as to a DCI, or for certain
brands of headunits, Modifry sells a plug & play version that has a Honda
connector on one end and a [Alpine, etc] headunit connector on the other.
These also have a connector for the DCI already attached, but he has recently
changed the connector for the DCI, so if you have an old Modifry harness a
new DCI won't connect to it, or if you have an old DCI you can't use one
of his new harnesses.
If you don't have either, order both and I'm sure he'll send you the right
DCI and harness combo to work with each other.
