[QUOTE=Neutered Sputniks,Sep 22 2008, 09:50 AM]
I worked for in the AF as an electronics technician (specifically, I was a Guidance and Control Systems Craftsman) before I landed my current job as a Field Service Engineer working on Ion Implanters.

And, again, I've been doing car audio for the past 10 years.

No certification here. Just making that clear. I just read and tend to be logical. Its amazing how physics works out that way.

MECP cert would be great, if you are in the industry. Just a hobby here. Might be more one day, but not in the current market.

I was Basic MECP it expired last month, but had 3 years of experience on top of that and I agree that you don't need an MECP to know what your doing but employer did give me a raise for the certification.

Yea the mecp isn't there for you to learn, all it is is a test and yea the reason i got it is my employer gives very nice raises for it.
yea taking the mecp basic test is cake...
Advance test is a little harder

Now Master is like very very hard only 86 people in the whole US passed that test (you have to have everything technicall memorized. like for example you have 12 volts, what resistor will make it 3.. or like you have this resister red blue brown grey gold, what is the resistance.... stuff like that but 200 questions.. lol I havent attempted that test yet..
