Default are MB Quart QM218.03CX good speakers

found a local person selling these component speakers and were wondering if these are good speakers. i tried to find a review on the web... but there wasnt much information. looking to upgrade my front speakers and probably placing the oems in the rear behind the seats. will the stock radio be powerful enough to run these mb quart or will i need to get an amp or an aftermarket cd player like alpine.

Thanks

John

Do bears poop in the woods

Those are nice speakers. Do you like the sound of Quarts? Soem people think the high's are to harsh. Have you heard Quarts in person before?

i have never heard quart speakers nor any high quality speakers before... never had money to invest in a system for my car. But these are used and might be able to pick them up for under $100.

Can someone tell me if i will need a aftermarket cd player or amp to hook these up? They have crossovers included with them. Can i hook these up to my stock 04 headunit?

Please post recommendations and opinions how to run these speakers.

Thanks

John

Its an ok deal. They are second lowest on the mb quart line, but they arent bad. For under 100 bucks, sounds like a fair deal.

What is their sensitivity rating? If it is above 90-91 than they should be fine off HU power, if less, an amp would be best.

What is their RMS rating?

I am not a huge fan of Quart, personally, as I think the highs are too harsh / bright. You should be able to dial them down with a nice x-over, though.

LISTEN BEFORE YOU BUY. This is the #1 rule in buying speakers, as everyone's ears are different.
