MB Quart Headrest Speakers?

MB Quart Headrest Speakers?
Hey all. I just got my new (to me) s2000, and noticed some headrest speakers that fit inside the hole of the seat (not in the 'rollbar hoop'). Ironically, they don't turn on with the radio so I have no idea if they work or if they are fried. The previous owner must have had an aftermarket radio installed and the dealer put the original HU back in and forgot about the headrest speakers.
The odd thing is, the speakers say "MB Quart" and have a little plastic logo on them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but HOW?! I have done some pretty extensive research and found no MB Quart headrest speakers for the s2000. I'll post pics in the morning as I realize its hard to answer without seeing them.
They defiantly aren't s-pods and I cant imagine Honda putting MB Quarts in a stock speaker setup.
My question: does anyone else have these? If so, how the heck did ya install em. I already installed an aftermarket HU and noticed 2 wires that were blue and white, but they were an RCA-type connector. I'd imagine this is a sub hookup but who knows.

Since you have an AP1, the stock HU doesnt have the technology or capability to support "Rear" speakers. You would have to get an aftermarket HU. Or we can talk about selling the speakers to me

Actually I have an ap2 bro. ^_^ I've got an aftermarket pioneer 8200bt installed at the moment.
I'm just so disappointed at the sound quality in an s2000, but I'm not crying about it. I knew it would be tough when I got a convertible.

do you have a picture? no one in my crew has an AP2v1 so i'm not sure if the AP2v1s have rear speakers in the hoop. I have the AP1/AP2v1 seats and have a pod (says S2000 on the back) of 2 speakers (size of tweeters) mounted to the back. I had to run my own wires for the speakers under the center console. Yes I do agree with you that the stock audio could be better. The pod speakers that I have do help when the top is down but get kind of annoying with the highs with the hardtop on/ top up

I ask this because AP2's dont have holes in the headrest. Its flat. The AP1's however, have holes in the headrest that CAN accommodate speakers.
Unless your AP2 has AP1 seats I'm not understanding what your asking.

I believe I understand the set-up you describe as I run 4 MBQ's in my seat surrounds. In my set up I run Alpine SPR-17's in the back feeding the MB's through a pair of crossovers. Driver and passenger left to left and driver and passenger right to right if that makes sense. I am running Focal VR3's in the doors. System is driven by an Alpine PDX-5 amp with a Darkside sub box with a 10" Alpine Type R sub in the trunk. Wiring is Monster Cable. The head is an Eclipse with near zero THD.
