Unhappy Make the audio controls work w/ Stereo

See details Modifry's DCI (Dash Control Interface)
SKU: MODIFRY-DCI

This custom-designed audio solution for the S2000 allows you to use the factory dashboard radio switches to control your after-market head unit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our price: $90.00

- Has anyone bought this and tried this, I'd love for my dash controls to work again. Ever since i bought an aftermarket stereo to read my MP3 cds, my dash controls no longer work. Will this for sure fix, or is it a waiste of 100 buck!

Yes, alot of people on this forum have it. I used to have the pac-swix before, but that was absolute garbage. Modifry's DCI is definitely the way to go especially if you have an alpine. Installation is easy and it even has a speed sensor option so the volume adjusts accordingly with your speed. Definitely a nifty feature.

Yes, it works with Kenwood. Here's a link to the official page: http://www.baustnet.com/honda/mods/dci/index.htm

You can see that there are special instructions for Kenwood and JVC. Just read through it.

Moving to Electronics forum - still trying to decide if that Modifry part of the first post falls into the commercial posting rules

^ While the excerpt is definitely from a commercial Internet vendor, it is S2KI's vendor, so maybe Rylan will cut him some slack?

whsnxts2k - The DCI worked with previous Kenwoods without a hitch, but for some reason the newer ones must have changed IR codes because I've had a few customers report problems. I'm in the process of acquiring a Kenwood remote (thanks to some nice customer) and should have a new version of the DCI available in a few weeks.

I think the GoFastLab removed the "kenwood" option till I've got the new Kenwoods figured out. Either way look for me to post in this forum when the "fix" is available.

The new kenwood DCI is up and running. Works awesome.

you may want to talk to Bob (Modifry) since I think there are two different models for kenwood out there.
