I cut too much off my speaker baskets and the speaker sticks out too much. I have noticed that water sometimes gets inside and don't want to ruin the speakers. Does anyone have an extra set of the stock speaker baskets laying around? If so PM me.

Thanks

See my webpage...I caulked a piece of plastic bag onto the back since the speaker magnets stick out.

You can also buy a foam baffle from your local car stereo shop or crutchfield. The baffle is flexible and waterproof and can be used to replace the speaker baskets.

Most, if not all, car speakers are made to resist water and moisture. I installed Polk 3065 components and had to custom make a speaker bracket/spacer out of particle board. The entire rear of the speaker is exposed. I discussed the issue with a Polk technian and he said I'll be fine with that speaker exposed. He said first, not much moisture will get back there anyway and second the speakers are made to resist moisture and survive in that environment. The foam baffles at Crutchfield will make your speakers perform poorly. Those baffles just don't allow enough air to effeciently create sound.

If it's still important for you to have a basket, the Honda basket cost about $3.00 each at your Honda dealership.

Good luck!!!
