Post Looking to do first system upgrade

hey guys, after thinking about what to do iv come to realize I should probably buy a head unit first, since I cannot purchase everything at once. I am looking at the pioneer DEH-P9800BT pretty much cause it does everything and looks like I could be using 80% of it. I-Pod is a must... blue tooth seems cool even tho I am not sure if anyone will even be able to hear me but hey all is well.

Anyways my question is would this be a wise upgrade? Is it somewhat simple to swap out head units and doing the whole DCI? all comments welcome... thanks!

lol good thats what I wanna hear. After some research it looks like I may have some difficulty with the DCI and this head unit. I haven't matched up model numbers or anything like that but it seems as tho the DCI has to be pre programmed to run with a particular head unit and this head unit seems to be kinda new... hmmm...

If ou buy the DCI and associated wiring harness, installation is really easy, as Modifry's harness has minimal extra wires. Thehardest part will be getting your radio door back in.

okay cool. as far as the DCI goes I think i can go wired. it has a wired controller port it says, so will the DCI work for this for sure? i would hate to lose my dash controls.
