a few good shops i know of... street noyz which is in san diego. i believe the owners name is Skip. i do not know him personally.
if you do not mind spending the money, but want the best, speaker works in the city of orange. the legendary Eric Holdaway is the owner. has over 200 trophies and is known to be one of the best tuners. He charges $250 an hour for tuning.
Beach Auto Sound in huntington beach. Tom is the owner. great service, he knows his stuff and is alpine F#1 dealer.
Audio Advice in la cresenta. devin is the owner. great shop, he has lots of IASCA trophies to show for his expertise. I believe he is booked all the way until november. you might have to wait a few months. he does the best work for a very good price.
Rawlings Audio in the city of pasadena. Jamey is the owner, appointment only. let me know if you want to talk to him. i will give him a call for you. he is currenty working on a mercedes limo previously owned by some african president. he does awesome work but charges an arm and a leg.
i personally would trust my car with them.

I have always gone to Sounds Good Stereo in Woodland Hills. My S2000 is going there pretty soon for some new stuff too. I dont trust anyone else with any of my cars. Their website is www.sounds-good-stereo.com . Tell them Ara sent you.

I second that choice. Depending on what his setup sounds like I may have them do something similar in mine....
