If I were you I'd look into a packaged "amp installation kit" from companies like Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, or KnuKonceptz. I'm assuming you have an aftermarket HU? You need the signal wires from HU-to-amp, speaker wires from the amp to sub, power cable from battery-to-amp, ground cable from amp-to-frame, and a turn-on lead from HU-to-amp. Presumably your amp or HU has a low pass filter otherwise you'd need that too.

If you have the stock HU, I have no idea how to hook up the amp.

Is that all i need to install, or do i still need the signal wire and all that good stuff?

Check the install kit when it arrives. Without knowing what kit you bought, I can't tell you if it includes everything or not...lol

4 AWG is the minimum size for the power wire for that amp, not 8 AWG.
