JL 300/2 -- 2 speakers and a sub
Hi guys,
I searched and could find anything that answered my question 100%.
I have a JL 300/2 amplifier and I'm looking to power a pair of Boston Acoustic Pro50 speakers and a JL 8W3. Can this be done with the current amplifier?
From what I gather, I would need to wire the speakers in series and then use the other channel on the amplifier to power the sub. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance for any assitence!

Ehh....you technically can, but I wouldnt do it. Your sound would be mono, for one, and......well...its just plain wrong. Leave the 300.2 for the speakers, and grab a sub amp. You can get a nice one for a little over 100 bucks.

Am i correct in assuming that I'd use only one channel of that amplifier for the subwoofer? It would seem that 600 watts at 4 ohms if I bridge it would be too much power for the sub?
In addition, I can simply tap into the power and ground wires for the previous amplifier to provide power and ground for the sub, correct? Or would I need to run a set of new wires? [The wires that are already run are 4 guage for both power and ground].
Sorry for all the newbie questions, I wish I knew more about this stuff, sigh...
