So I have been using a DLO TransDock Micro FM Transmitter for my 2007 S2000. Does anyone know a way to have crystal clear sound with your iphone? I heard Honda used to have a iPod kit for all Honda's but I guess its discontinued cause I called a few dealers and that's what they said. So the DLO has been pretty decent the past 2 years but its falling apart on me for some odd reason.. I am very gentle in my car but I guess it wasn't made to last. Anyways, instead of buying the same transmitter again I was planning to replace it this year with something that gives more precise sound. The DLO Transmitter makes little fuzzy noises that you can hear if you don't turn up the sound.

The only way your going to have decent sound is to have the ipod wired in. A transmitter will never be as comparable to a wired head unit.

Do you know any wired units for iphone?

With the stock head unit? You don't need something for the iphone but for an ipod. If you try searching a little there's a way to hook an ipod up to the stock head unit. As far as aftermarket head units anything that has a 3.5mm jack in it will work.

Yeah I did a little research before posting, but I didnt see a way for iphone to work with the stock head unit. I was hoping maybe someone in here can tell me how they deal with music besides mass cd's and radio.

^^im pretty sure you can use the iphone with any of the ipod connectors. When you plug the iphone in, be sure to accept the message that pops to put the phone in "Airplane Mode". Im not sure if you can receive phone calls or not, but you will be able to listen to your music off of the phone.

I installed the USA Spec iPod Interface PN: PA15HON2 (http://www.usaspec.com/ipod.html) in my 2007. It's $150 from Crutchfield with $20 discount for first-time customers. It will work with iPhone 3G as well (some out there don't). The redundant audio controls by the start button control can help skip tracks and mute. It can be installed in as little as 30 minutes depending on how you want to run the cable.

I used one of those previously. They use the CD changer port on the OEM headunit.

Many newer head units have wired USB inputs in them, too. I recently installed a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB and use it to connect my iPhone, iPod, and thumb drives for playback. Pair that with a Modifry DCI and you have a fully-functional setup.

You'd probably never notice the difference in a car as noisy as an S2000, but for the sake of argument, a connector that uses the iPhone dock port will produce higher quality sound than a stereo mini-plug that runs from the headphone jack on the iPhone to a line-in on the back of the stereo HU.
