The new audio API that's part of IOS4 allows any head unit to control whatever audio app is running on the iPhone. Works flawlessly with Pandora.

Not sure if this messes up the proprietary Alpine app they made in order to do this. But how did they not know this was coming down the pipeline? Any Apple dev worth their salt would have known.

Anyhow, iPhone OS 4 + JVC kd-a615 = one very happy user.

+1. I was afraid the os would break compatibility with my usaspec + oem head unit, but still working like a charm! Now I just need a compatible mount for the new phone.

os 4.0 is not recognized on my pioneer deck, nor am i able to play podcasts, does anyone else have this same problem? or maybe my OS installed incorrectly on my 3gs
