Default iPhone + Alpine iDA-X001 = No.

Just a quick test, but these two are not compatible through the USB hookup. The HU says "IPod error" and the iPhone says something like "This accessory is not compatible with iPhone."

I don't have a FullSpeed connection cable, so that interface is untested.
