Default HID Question

Hi!

1st question:

I would just like to know what type of HID bulbs come with a stock S2000?

I'm planning to upgrade the bulb but don't have any idea what type it is.

2nd:

What brand of aftermarket HID's do you use and any good/bad feedback about it?

6000K? 8000K? etc...

Please don't "upgrade" your bulb. The bulb is a Philips D2S or DS2 bulb at 4300k. All of those aftermarket things just increase Blues and Purples and reduce your visibility. If you don't believe your lights are one the best and most colorful out there, just have a friend do some pass by's in your car, and you will see what everyone else sees. I know it doesn't seem like the light is that great from inside the car sometimes, but it is!

You might as well flush your money down the toilet.

Osram/Sylvania or Phillips, both are OEM Factory HID capsule suppliers and are the ONLY OEM suppliers.

All you do by going with anything higher than 4300K is losing lumens, light output.

ok so to actually answer this question can the bulb just be upgraded or do new ignitors/ballasts need to be purchased when going with a higher rating (say a 6000k bulb). Also would the Mculloh, Sylvania, or Phillips bulbs be purchased or are there other manufacturers of HID bulbs?
