Default help! underglows on a late model mustang

i was helping a neighbor put underglows on his car... and like an amateur i didnt check to see everything was working before i started!

so i put all the led tubes on the car... then i connected the wires according to the diagram... however... as soon as i touched to ground to the body it flicked on then stayed off... only when i took it off and put it back on did it come on.. but only flicks... i got my positive directly from the battery

is the control box messed up? helpp!!

Your positive should not be directly to the battery. For testing, its fine, but not for permanent install bro.

You need to get a switch (radioshack) and run one wire to the batt. , one to the neon, and one to the ground.

If the tubes dont stay on while connected to the battery and grounded, then something is up with the control box.
