Default Help: Sub Amp not working

Well, I see power on the amp but no sound is coming out of the sub. I'm hoping it's not a bad amp. I tried using the RCA's from an amp that is working and still no sound. Any ideas on what can be wrong?

This is running off of an Alpine 9833.

Thanks....

Is the sub wiring right, then most likely the amp is junk...

Did you turn the sub controls on, on the HU.

I never turned on any sub controls. Would you know off the top of your head, how to turn it on? I'm pretty sure it's wired correctly. I followed infinity's wiring for parallel.

On the HU if you push the knob it should switch to the sub controls. Double check and make sure they are on and turned up.

Also on the AMP did you turn the gains up?

If all of those are on. Then you should try resetting the AMP. Pull the fuse out of the side of the AMP, leave it out for a about a minute or so.

Also double check all your wiring from the HU all the way back to the AMP. Start with the RCA's and work your way back all the way to the sub.

Hopefully you just did not turn the amp on and turn it up on the HU.

Well it was the amp. It's dead. Say goodbye to my XTANT. I borrowed my Ex's (the one in my Signature) Punch Amp and it worked. So for now I will borrow it and keep the setup looking ghetto until I get a new one. Thank you all for your help....

How old is your Xtant? You can get replacement parts for some of those. I wouldn't just throw it out. I would call up Xtant and try and get some help from them regarding it.
