Default Help, Driver Window Auto Down Does Not Work???

The driver side window auto down does not work. The window will go up and down. But, the auto down does not work. I think its not the switch, coz when i put top down the driver side window only goes down about 2 inches. The passenger window works fine, it goes all the way down.

Is there a wire that my be loose? or a module that may be broken?

I don't know if your car is still under warranty but if it is than no biggie. I had the same problem and honda replaced the switch for me under warranty.

I bought the car used last year, the auto down didn't work then. Never thought about it much. Until i found this forum. I'm glad i got this car it was a toss up between an S2 or NSX. S2 deal came first. now i found out the S2 has a large community, its all good.

anyways so im not sure if under warranty. it only has 10,800 mi, but I'm not the original owner.

Please check on the reprograming. Thanks

As the thread title suggests, it is a "possible" fix. In many cases, this fix is only temporary and eventually, the window regulator needs to be replaced. If the car is under warranty, get it done. The regulator is not cheap. "Woodwork" mentioned at Fall Colors that he (ie. Honda) has been aware of this for quite some time and all replacement regulators are of a newer "revised" version.
Not that most people care, but the changing of the regulator involves dismantling your door and taking the glass out, changing the reg, putting the glass back in and calibrating the whole thing.
Until you get it fixed, you just have to learn to use the window down button in conjunction with the top switch.

emc2 sells autolocs that fix the problem permanently, even if your regulator is broken.

Really? Can you direct us to a link or something? Thanks.
The "fix" no longer works with mine and I'm out of warranty. This autoloc thing sounds like the ticket for guys like me.

emc2 is the guy that sells the autoloc units, you will need 3 of them, he sells them for $25 each so you'll spend $75, which is cheaper then buying 3 of them from any other supplier. you can send him a PM or email, but when I PM'd him, he seems slow to reply. http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/member.php?s...nfo&userid=7099

also woodwork did the autoloc install and you can PM him,

http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/member.php?s...info&userid=467

all the info you need on how to wire them and such is in emc2's group buy (really old thread)

http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...ghlight=autoloc

also you can contact cornfish for info

http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/member.php?s...nfo&userid=7136

http://www.cornfish.com/S2000.htm has install instructions for the autolocs

just search for emc2 autoloc, you'll get plent of threads about the autoloc units.

i still have one of the autoloc boxes at home so if you want the model # I can get you that and you can order 3 from wherever (find a supplier on google I guess or a local car audio store prolly carries them) and the install instructions are on cornfish.com.
