just make sure you make the opening in the dash compatible with 'other' tablets because at some point, the ipad2 will be outdated. Actually, i think it already is...

Sorry guys, been super busy with family stuff lately so I will try to get back into the shop and take some pictures when I get a chance.

We ran into some clearance issues as to be expected since the iPad horizontal width is definitely wider than the space between the temp unit and airbag. We were going to mount the the unit at an angle similar to how most modern cars have wrap around dash setups but this means the ENTIRE dash has to be rebuilt to hand the new lines. Another aspect I want to address is glare which is going to very apparent with the top down. I want this to be visible even on sunny days so we are thinking of doing a custom hood setup.

The actual wiring is pretty easy so most of the time was spent calculating what angle we want to setup the unit. I have some mock setups using popsicle sticks but looks like the entire dash will be re-covered when finished.

P.S. Seats are Recaro Pole Positions but these are one off custom units with dual heated seat pads and black ultra-suede with yellow stitching / embroidering
