If you are not going with an external amp, I would look for a HU that with the most powerful, RMS, internal amp. I went with the Kenwood Excelon series paired with Focal 165 sllim speakers. It really sounds great compared to the factory setup. I know an external amp would help, but I believe in baby steps.
