Wondering what would be a good option. I want a double din unit to put in my dash. so 6.5-7" screen to work with the jdm navi bezel. Must have touchscreen for GPS and all. DVD/CD player, Bluetooth connection, Iphone compatible, and a big must is having a HDD or maybe an SD card slot would work? To be able to load hundreds of songs on to it to be able to play direct through there hopefully with voice control or something.
I know there are units that do all of that minus the HDD for not too much like around $600 or so.
Would an SD card slot work fine for music? I would have it going to my amp and have speakers and a sub already.
If an SD card slot would work and I could get like a 32gb sd card and fill it with music then I wouldn't need the HDD option and get a cheaper one then.

Any suggestions?

 

I forgot I have an iphone 4 so needs to be compatible with that for playback through the unit as well as charge the phone.

I'm looking for more or less the samething. Most of the parts can be purchased on eBay. You can save a couple hundred dollars and can use it towards installation. Also, the JDM bezel needs to be modified to work on our USDM cars.

 

Yeah I am aware of the jdm bezel needing some modifications to fit. heat gun method seems to work pretty well.
I didn't really want to piece together a screen and then gps etc. I am hoping that there is an all in one unit that would do the trick.
If the SD card slot method works for listening to music through it that would save me some cash and work great for my needs.
GPS is of course a must. DVD would be cool but doubt I would ever actually use it lol.

Nice. Yeah I have seen a bunch like that. I need to find one that I won't have to buy an add on for iphone connectivity and then another for Bluetooth etc.
That does look pretty nice.

Anyone know about the SD part of it? If I can load an SD card full of music and then put it into these units to then listen to all my music that way instead of through the iPhone and connector?
