General radio question
Yes, I know. It is probably not the right forum. It is not even a Honda.
I used to have a S which I miss it a lot.
Our 03 P-car came with the Premium sound package, radio, amplifier, speaker upgrade and stuff.
It has been working fine until recently.
The unit switchs on and off by itself. It has the annoying noise like it is trying to read the CD over and over again.
The only thing I can see on the display is the name "Porsche" appears and disappears.
Any tricks you guys know I can try to shock the system and bring it back to life.
Thanks in advance

Hi John,
Long time no chat. I knocked on the amp and the HU a few times. It did not work.
I have absolutely no idea how to reset the HU.
Damn, if the HU is dying, I wonder if I can replace it with a aftermarket HU and still use the factory amp and speakers. They are actually very good.

Gotta love German engineering, lol. As it was said above, I would try to reset it either by turning the unit on and off, or even disconnecting it from the battery for a couple of minutes.

Actually, I discovered a method to fix it.
I used the back of my finger and tapped the amp a few times. Everything went back to normal.
I've used this method a couple times already. It worked like a charm.
Ah...German engineering.
