Extremely corrode battery terminal
So my positive battery terminal is crazy corroded and no good. At the moment I cant spend $90 on the new harness for the positive side of the battery not to mention the nightmare it is to install. What I want to do is get a new battery, cut the original cable (where it is clear of any corrosion) and use a distribution block to connect the 2 cables that come off the harness and use a small piece of power wire and a new car audio terminal to reach the distribution block from the battery terminal. The only reason I suggest using the distribution block (and not connecting to the battery terminal directly) is because the cables do not seem to have a lot of give and I do not think they will reach the new terminal.
If anyone has any input on this or any possible issues I might have let me know.

I split my positive cable insulation back about 6 inches (with a single slit) and peeled it back. Then I used a battery corrosion cleaner to get all the corrosion off the wire strands. Then I put the insulation back how it was and electrical taped it as tight as possible. I haven't had any issues since.

how far down the wire is it corroded. I just changed mine it was only corroded near the terminal so I cut it off and cleaned the wires and clamped on a new gold plated terminal. if its corroded pretty far into the wire and you dont think you can clean it, then getting a new harness would be a good idea.
do your idea with the distribution block lol
