Ebay purchases
I recently wrote in another thread that I had purchased a Sony MP70 from a company on Ebay and it was DOA. Well not entirely DOA but the display didn't work. I was sure i'd be taken but I'm glad to say that they replaced the unit without any hassle and all my emails were answered within a few hours. High marks for Soundmart.

Debating whether or not ebay is good or bad is silly. Ebay is Ebay. People are good or bad. I have had two recent purchase experiences that were very positive.
Kenputers - bought a refurbished IBM Thinkpad for the wife
Joe's Soundwaves - bought an amp for the S
Maybe we should post the positive experinces for people to use and the negatives for people to avoid...?

I also had a unit replaced by an Ebay seller. It was a small electronics shop that was selling lots of them through dutch auctions. It wasn't DOA, but refused to recognize any CDs.
Also purchased from various sellers:
Various wiring, RCAs, terminals, fuse blocks, dist. blocks.
PPI amplifier
Boston Acoustics speakers
Alpine amplifier
No problems in 50+ transactions
