Default e8a.44 specs or amp suggestions

I recently acquired an e8a and was looking to amp it with the JL 300/4, but that amp has me worried about the impedance, as with my 3 ohm components, I would need a 6 ohm sub for max power out of the amp.

My other option would be a different amp like the JL 450/4.

Opinions on an amp for the e8a and Boston Acoustics?

Of the two, the 450/4 sounds like a better choice for this application.

You could use the 75 watt channels to power the components.

For the E8A, you would bridge the 150 watt channels and wire the coils in series to create a final impedance of 8 ohms.

The nice thing about JL's RIPS feature is that, even at 8 ohms, the bridged 150 watt channels will still deliver 300 watts. I've read the E8A will like all that power.

Are those components Z6s by any chance? Does Boston make other component models besides the Z6s that are rated at 3 ohms?

Well I've got the following installed:

JL 300/2 powering the components and JL 250/1 powering the Sub.

The e8A is a 4 ohm, dual voice coil sub. A Class D amp dedicated to the sub is your best option and, since you seem to be partial to JL Audio, their 250/1 does a nice job.
