I'm looking for coaxials. I will definitely do some digging into the Kappas as they are mentioned frequently on here. Just need to find somewhere out here to audition them. Thanks for the advice!

Those are 3-ways...same type.
I need to mentioned that these speakers come with a very small Xover wired to the speakers.
It wasn't a big deal as when I installed them, I just taped the Xover to the back of the speakers.
Mine are gone now as I've just installed PPI 356cs components.

With the X-over taped to the back of the speakers was there a clearance issue at all? I don't know the depth of the stock basket off the top of my head, and have seen few posts that have it - just lots of posts saying they needed to use spacers. Was the security of the X-over ok with just tape holding it in place?

Damm dude, you're making this sound more complicated than it is.
Obviously, if I had it in my car, clearance wasn't an issue.
And did you read the part where I said you have to cut the back of the basket out ?
If you're so worried about it, just buy Infinity Reference and call it a day.
They fit without having to cut the basket.

LOL... sorry, not trying to make it sound too complicated. Was just wondering how secure the tape was going to be with the crossover. What kinda tape were you using? 2 sided?
