Hi All,
I hope this isn't repeated information, but I certainly didn't find anything on the subject while searching for replacement door speakers...
While there is a lot of talk here about speaker depth (to cut or not to cut the speaker baskets), please also pay attention to the 'height' of the cone suspension rings. I was so darned focused on the speaker depth that I didn't realize that my new Infiniti 652i speakers are a bit 'taller' than the stock speakers...and the molded speaker rings in the door panels are bumping slightly into the cone suspension rings (speakers are mounted directly to the (cut) speaker baskets, btw). I think this is OK with the 652is mounted directly to the baskets, but some other installs may end up being even taller(?).
Now, I realize this may be a no-brainer for many, but I hope this is useful to at least someone (perhaps another non-audiophile like me).

Do you have an exact size for speakers that will fit in there perfectly without doing any silly cutting? I was intending on changing the stock ones, but they actually perform pretty good up to my standards to leave them alone.
