Does a Indash DVD with screen work in our car?

I am also a Kenwood dealer.......the Kenwood KVT915DVD will not be out until atleast after this years CES. Panasonic is actually sueing Kenwood for the use of their "patented" DVD Audio chip in the new unit. All beta versions were recalled and production put to a halt........we hope for the best but know for sure nothing.........

Has anyone tried this Kenwood unit yet? It's now available here in the UK, it's called the KVT-925DVD, and I really want one, but before spending the best part of

it's very unlikely that it will work.
between the shift knob being so close to the radio, and the dash overhang - there really are almost no options for indash DVD systems. they other come out far enough to clear the dash (but hit the shift knob), or they don't come out far enough and instead hit the dash overhang.

Ok....lets get one thing straight here.
I have gotten some screens to work in the s2k. I fit the eclipse, and the new alpine....
However, if you are doing some spirited driving, and slam into 3rd gear....say goodbye to your screen.
No matter what screen you get, no matter who makes it, no matter how it is mounted (stock location), it will not work. Your fist will go straight through the screen. There is simply no room for it.
Trust me guys, I would have spared no expense to keep a nice screen like that, it just doesnt work. I spent way more money on all my crap, I would have def. done this.
