Does anyone have their cd changer mounted in the secret compartment?

I tried the search. No luck w/ any pics. in the compartment. I did see the install next to the spare--which looked good but if I try that, I would want the changer flush w/ the carpet--easy access! I may just go ahead and get an estimate done for both and go from there.

Do you think the DVD changer will fit in the secret compartment? (For future upgrade)

The under seat is great... that's where I have my DVD/NAV box (MikeS2K has his DVD/NAV under the passenger seat... mounted to the seat and not the actual floor there is space plus the changer moves with the seat (never out of reach).

My favorite changer install... in the dash:

Thank you to whoever took the picture of this outstanding installation...

BTW maybe next time you can get the owner of the vehicle to get rid of trash from under the driver's seat... which probably has a DVD/NAV box under there too...

Shaner,

I saw your install at the meet, Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you! Your install looked GREAT!!! I think both you and Mike should submit photos to Car Audio! I am leaning toward the secret compartment or trunk next to the spare as long as it can be flushmounted! If I had my old Alpine system ( cva-1005, nve-n751a, cha-1214, and the dva-5202 dvd player I would try that install. I had contmplated installing the cva-1005 like you did but my installer was trying to persuade me into building out the audio cover so the cva-1005 screen would come out!

Not at all! Mine is an Alpine 6 disc DVD/CD changer mounted under my seat! Which is larger than the regular 6 disc one.

More pics!

If I hid them from sight with the seat back(normal position) then had a 5'5" girl get in she couldn't put the seat far enough forward to reach the pedals! So I put them on the seat and WOW!!!!!!! What a difference that made in the feeling of the shakers.

The Aus 2001 S2000 comes with the changer (a Honda badged Alpine 8 stacker) mounted in the secret compartment.

I'd heard about it but only got to see my first one today in rpmsyd's car. I thought about taking a photo but thought this was old news.
