Does anyone have their cd changer mounted in the secret compartment?
I wanted to know if any member s have had their cd changers mounted in the secret compartment or the space to the left of the spare tire? I currently have the changer mounted in the factory brackets but as we all know space is limited. If anyone has pictures please post--- I will be using the Alpine 6 disc

I've seen some posts here a while back about some members who have put a changer in the secret compartment and it does work but I think you have to do a bit of a butcher job on the compartment itself to make it sit in there. Try a search for "CD changer" and see what you come up with.

Not at all! Mine is an Alpine 6 disc DVD/CD changer mounted under my seat! Which is larger than the regular 6 disc one.
More pics!

My Alpine 6 disc is under the seat and is a pain in the a$$! Plus, I cant order Muz floor mats because they wouldn't sit right. I'm having it moved to the compartment next week. HiFiBuys said it would work Brandon

I have my Alpine 6 disc changer mounted in the "secret compartment" to the left of the spare tire. No problems, but you do need to cut out an "access" hole. I left the top on mine uncut, so it's basically a fold up flap. With a bit of velcro it'd be very clean.
I tried mounting under either seat but found it not practicle, as the top of the seat will hit the CD player after moving the seat up 1/2 way. Same for any of the amps I tried. (either drive or passenger seat)
Of course, if you never move your seats forward, then this isn't a consideration.
PS: I am going to be selling my changer and head unit, w/mounting brackets for rear compartment. PM if interested.

I think it works great mounted TO the seat! (not the floor) It slides with the seat rail, and you only lose a tiny play in the travel of the seat moving forward.
And besides nothing like changing CD's (or Movies) on the fly!!!!
