Thats all I needed to know.
When i use the iphone on my stereo, I always put it on shuffle and skip to next until I find a song I want to hear.
So all i want do do is control the iphone from the DCI.

In that case, connect up using the USB port on the Alpine, and you can use the DCI to skip to the next track.
Be aware that the iPhone may well not display what's playing, so you'll need the radio door open if you want to see that information.
