DCI installed behind head unit
The instructions for the DCI install says to not put the unit behind the HU. I have a pioneer that's about half the size of the stock HU with plenty of room behind it. Anyone have any issues with the DCI installed directly behind the HU? I think it looks cleaner that way but just want to make sure there isnt heating issues. I've searched to no avail. Thanks in advance

Many HUs have a heat sink to the rear so it can get warm for something in close proximity. Move it off to the side or put a small piece of aluminized Mylar bubble wrap insulation to keep the thing cooler.

I installed mine underneath the passenger dashboard panel (where the glove compartment would be on most standard cars).
There's no reason to tuck it behind the headunit...I like the DCI where the dip switches are accessible... Plus the wire you need to splice into for the SCV is right there too, so it makes everything nice and tidy...
