Default Dash Mounted Screen For Nav Is there a Kit?

i did a search and found a few different kinds, is there a kit i can purchase? I can't live without nav and I will be installing an alpine unit, not sure of the model number but I have a picture of it below. Please direct me in the right direction on how to do this and what I will have to cut.

Thanks!

Tetsuo

No. Any installation like that requires cutting your $490 dollar dash.

You have to make your own. That carbon fiber on only works with 1 particular type of monitor if I remember correctly.

You'll have to make your own out of fiberglass and mold it to the dash.

If you are good with fiberglass and bondo go for it! I was good writing a check(and good at knowing my limitations) so I had a installer I trust go for it!

I envy your install! It looks really good! I was wondering if I could bother you for some specifics? The screen looks like Alpine, but is it 6.5 or 7". What are you using to run the GPS? How much did it cost?

THanks for the help... I'm really looking into doing to my MY01. The wife and I want to be able to watch DVDs on trips and I want the Navi because I get lost all the time.

Thank you Keep in mind this instal was done almost 3.5 years ago. So the technology/screen sizes, etc have changed a bit.

My Screen is the Alpine 6.5" I am using the Alpine Nav unit (STILL the best one on the market IMO) It then cost in excess of $2k...I think it is down to about $1500 now + a screen and lots of fabrication work of course.

Then of course you still need a DVD source to play movies, if you want to watch movies
