Default Dash mount for iPhone 4

Ive been using my iPhone 4 as my media player and gps in my car for a few months now. I used bluetooth A2DPI for playing all audio and phone calls so I only use the cable to charge the phone. finally accepted that I need some kind of mount for it. Im not a fan of windshield mounts or the beanbag ones you throw on the dash. I'm looking for something more "dockable" that can rotate from portrait to landscape orientation. I know modifry makes a dash bracket for the S that could probably work for the mount piece but I'm not sure about what to use for the iPhone mount and if it can attach (and fit so it can rotate) on the dash bracket. For power I figured I'd wire in an iPhone cable through accesory power somehow.

Anyway, I'm sure someone has found a neat solution that's working well. If anyone has ideas please share.

IF you use a case for your iphone then you'll need the adjustable mount

+2 -- ProClip + Modifry is the way to go IMO. I actually have a hardwired dock for the Droid.

Post just above yours has a link to the adjustable iPhone 4 mount. In general, though, you're usually stuck with using generic adjustable mounts with cases.

This is the Droid mount. I don't recall if someone has posted photos of the iPhone 4 mount but it would be in this subforum.

The Modifry bracket is thin flexible steel and does flex a bit under the weight of the Droid. However, I think Modifry updated his bracket design to make it a bit more rigid since I purchased mine.

ProClip does make a vehicle mount for the S2000 but I wouldn't recommend it. It mounts to the left of the shifter and it's possible for your knee to bump the mount.

Panavise's bracket is very secure and solid but mounts directly to the right of the radio.

I just bought this case from amazon it holds the phone extremely tight and is easy to get the phone in and out of it with/without a case...

I bought it because you can adjust the phone position to use the camera to take video.

ill take another look at it when i get home today... im sure you could use some sort of double sided tape on part of it to work fine I dont think it came with a specific flat surface mount tho...

I am using it with the windsheild suction cup

I have the proclip swivel mount for the bumper case with the modifry mount. Works great.
