The general feeling is that it is legal as long as they still light up amber i.e. amber bulbs behind the diffusers. Check out www.ricks2k.com for a place to order the diffusers and side markers. Personally I like the smoked diffusers better on my silverstone car, but there are a lot of pics on ricks site that should help you to decided. Also search for a guy here with the username of w1ngman. Find any post by him and click the link in his signature for even more pix on the mod. Rick does not sell the smoked side markers, probably because there is not an OEM source available as Honda does not offer smoked in any car. The smoked are available as an aftermarked item from this place: http://www.honda-s2000.de/02forum.html some have not been happy with the fit of these on their car, I have an '03 and they seem fine to me YMMV.

Depends on the State, but in CT, you can have clear or amber turn signals so you can use a clear bulb or an amber bulb. I use a silver bulb that lights up amber so the bulb color doesn't show thru the cleared-plastic. Between the headlights and rear-wheel, any light MUST be amber in CT, so I have a clear plastic sidemarker with an amber bulb. I suspect that most states have the same laws. see Previous Thread
