Type R's won't be great with HU power either in my opinion.

Tweeter/sound advice will have type-s but not reference. Infinity has a dealer lookup to locate the closest dealers. A dealer that stocks both in the same audition room would be the best scenario but you may have to take what you can get if you can't find that

I personally prefer the sound of the Type-S alpines over the infinity reference speakers, but that's really a matter of preference. You may find that you prefer the Infinity's, or the Polks over the Alpines.

again, thanks for the advice. i was planning on going to check out the speakers, but i got a flat tonight and will not drive the car. =(
