Car Satellite Reciever for Sirius...Pic Requested?
hello everyone. I'm interested in getting a sirius receiver for the car and was wondering if anyone has one and what their experience is with the sirius car reciever. I don't want to get a new deck. Does the 2002 have aux input/output? anyways, if you do have a sirius reciever in your car, post up a picture of where you have it mounted and what not. Thanks.

I can't tell you exactly how your Sirius deck is, when I got my car, the previous owner had XM. He put the antenna on the dash up where the defogging vents are for the front window. It was great because people had no idea it was there. He also had a custom job done where he put the XM adapter in the radio door. He dremmeled out the door so the adapter sat in the door. It was nice since I could change the XM stations without fiddling with radio itself, plus everyone thought the small XM adapter was my whole radio, and when I would flip the door down, they thought it was cool. I have since ripped out the old system, and got one intergraded into an Alpine deck. Wish I would have taken pictures of it. If your adapter is to big it might not work. Also, it was an FM modulator, so I would tune to a certain FM station and would get XM. Problem was, when I had the XM turned on, the reception on all the FM stations would be horrible (it was ok though, I have not listened to FM since I used XM ) Good luck

I've used a Kenwood KCA type FM modulator controller to run Sirius into stock Honda/Acura head units several times.
The controller can be mounted several ways. I had it in the cubby of the wife's TSX and sunglass holder in my Honda Accord.
Sound quality was never an issue. But the type of tuner box I had did have RCA outs if you needed them. I put the FM modulator box under the dash or under the driver's seat and ran the wires under the carpet into the center tunnel.
The tuner box would set in the trunk. And the Kenwood controller has a lead to run to the FM mod usually long enough.
If you are lazy you can likely velcro or attach the Kenwood tuner to the dash or a radio door.
