Is the car immobilizer part of the ECU circuit
Well I am doing a 2JZ swap into my S. I am doing some research though, before Is tart tearing crap up!
The S2000 immobilizer is that connected to the ECU? When I swap this motor and such am I goign to have issues with a start up? Or is there a difference system no the car that allows the immobilizer function?

THe main part of the immobilizer system is on the ECU itself.
Immobilzer daughter board on ECU + key reader bolted to ignition lock cylinder + programmed key.
I think the immobilizer disables fuel.
I dont think you should have problems.

If you use the 2JZ ECU and wire harness you should be fine, just make sure the 2jz engine doens't have immoblizer stock, like from a gs300 or is300 or something, I'm not sure if mkiv's had immoblizer

When you replace your 2001, 2002 or 2003 Toyota RAV4 ECM (car computer or engine computer) with an used unit, either bought at eBay or at a salvage yard, junker, etc., if your vehicle is equipped with an immobilizer system, which is an anti-theft security system, you must either reprogram the ecm to work with your existing keys, or buy new keys, which must be cut and programmed for matching the ECM unit you just purchased.
For reprogramming, if you have an EEPROM programmer, you can do the programming either in circuit or off circuit by using a reset file for the immobilizer EEPROM in the ECM circuit.
