Default car audio shop/installer in Chicagoland area

I'm looking for a shop in Chicago to have an amp and component speakers installed. Can anybody recommend a reputable shop in the area?

Thanks in advance.

What area of Chicago?

I have used Excel Audio in Palatine and Action Audio in Hanover Park.

I also know the owner at Marksound in Schaumburg.

If it's just an amp and speakers, I could probably help you out too.

I installed my own amp, components and deck into my S just a few days ago (well, amp a few days ago, speakers and head unit a few weeks ago).

It really didn't take that long, nothing that can't be done in a good weekend with just some common tools and the wealth of information here in the forums.

Just thought I'd point out that it is something you can do yourself. (And it might make it sound that much better knowing it's your own sweat that's making that beautiful music...)

I am actually located in Chicago. I love doing this sort of stuff myself but I live in a condo and my car is in a common garage. This makes it kind of hard because I can't just leave the car.

So far I have already gotten my alpine deck installed.

I currently have an mb quart raa4200 amp, and a JL 10w6. I'm purchasing diamon audio S600a's shortly.

I'm still looking for an enclosure for my sub, I was thinking about the lucid sub enclosure but it may not be deep enough. I may need the shop to build an enclosure for me.

I was thinking of using Tweeter, do they do good work? I thought it might be better to go to an independent shop like one that was mentioned.

Tweeter is going to be hit or miss, with a larger chance for miss, IMHO. I believe you are better off with a shop. When the owner is on premises (mabey even the one working on your car) you get a better chance of having it done right.
