Hello,
Can my eclipse 7001 ( moniter ) fit in the dash.. i also have the 5961 in dash 6 disc. would i hve to custom fit it anywhere? is there room anywhere?

Unfortunately.....it is not possible custom or not...to stick a monitor into the STOCK radio location....I wanted a monitor but could not find a way to clear the shifter.....hope that helps....

Even if its a motorized moniter ( fold in ) i have it in my size 1 din dash in my mustang now....

When the monitor opens/closes...it will hit the shifter. Second of all...if you find a way to clear that, the monitor would have to point at a downward angle (like 65 degrees) due to the torso vents. Just not really possible. Sorry bro. The only way that I know of to put in a monitor HU would be to cut a single DIN hole ABOVE the torso vents and mount it there. That however would cost money and cutting a hole in the dash (unless you plan on keeping the car forever) will be very costly.

In that case, forget it. I'll just yank it and sell it when i sell my mustang before moving. thanks for the input. Patrick
