can a 1000wt amp power door speakers and a sub?
Hey guys, I recently installed door speakers into the S and so far i've blown both new tweeters.
I purchased the infinity 6020cs set that comes with 6.5 and tweeters.
They are currently running straight off the deck and I'm guessing the deck is way too underpowered so the tweeters are blowing.
I have in the trunk a crossfire 1000w amp thats powering a rockford fosgate T1 12" sub.
The door speaker set came with a reference box that converts a single signal into two signals, one for tweeter and one for 6.5"
Can I safely wire the two door speakers/tweeters to the mono 1000W amp?
Everything that i know about electronics tell me NO but I can't help but ask the pros..
Thanks in advance guys!

NO.
That amp since it is a MONO amp will only produce subwoofer freq. meaning it will not produce freq high enough to produce vocal music.
If the tweeters are blowing...where is your high freq setting at on your deck? is it maxed out? Are you listening to the headunit beyond the level of distortion? on the crossover's is there a switch which has -.3 db or +3db etc?
regardless underpowering wouldnt cause your tweeters to blow. Who installed them? are you sure the tweeters are connected to the right output of the crossover? it sounds like they are getting a full range signal which is blowing them.
