Building a Stereo System...help!
i am trying to compile of list of components that i need to buy for a stereo installation. i would like to upgrade to the following:
two 8" subs using wlaurent's custome r/l sub boxes
alpine 9835 h/u
remote control solution...probably dj qube
kicker ss56.2 component speakers (6 1/2" and the tweeters)
amp/amps?
now i am confused as to what kind of amp i need. should i buy two amps...a four channel for the front speakers and a two channel for the subs?
can i buy a four channel amp and run the subs on two channels and the front on the other two channels?
can i just buy a 6 channel amp or is that just overkill?
as you can see i am really confused on what my amp solution will be. i'm assuming that running the component speakers from the alpine unit will not be sufficient...am i correct in that line of thought?
also can someone verify that the mounting depths of 6 1/2" speakers will fit in the door or should i be looking at 5 1/2" speakers instead?
any help would be appreciated. Thanks fellow s2k owners!

Take your car to your local stereo shop for a free estimate. They should know exactly what you need, and how much.
You will learn a lot and then can make a decision on what to get. [not necessarily from them!]
