Default Budget head unit options - $130 or less

I've searched for a while and came up with a couple of options. But I figured I would see if anyone could recommend a decent head unit in the $110-$130 range.

The main reasons I'm looking to upgrade over the stock unit are -

1. It's a POS and skips or freezes up playing my older burnt CD's
2. Ability to plug in an MP3 player
3. To gain, even if slight, improvemnt in stock speaker sound

I will not be upgrading to a sub, but may throw in better door speakers in the future. I really don't need a fancy head unit with options for expandability or sound adjustment. I also don't care about the stock controls, I've had the car about 2 months and find myself rarely using them.

Here are 2 options I came across through search:

Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I've owned a Kenwood and a Pioneer Head Unit. Neither of mine were the same model as you have, but I thought the Kenwood sounded better and was easier to use.

Hope this helps
