Default best TV?

What would be your favorite tv set if $$$ wasn't an issue. About 3-5 years ago Mitsubishi always had a breakthrough tv costing 20+K. I haven't heard of anything new in a while...

so what would be the best tv for home IYO.

Well. if you're willing to spend the MSRP of an S2000 on a TV, you could get the Sony KDL-70XBR3, which is a 70" LCD. A bit more affordable are the 52" versions ($4-5k list).

The Pioneer Elite PRO-FHD1 is the 50" widely regarded as the best plasma out there.
