Okay, sold on the denon 3806. Thanks NFRS2000NYC.
I was thinking : klipsch RF-15 for sides, RC-25 center, and RS-25 satelites, and a KSW-12 to top it off. what do you think if that setup? is it midline, or too low?
as far as bose....I would never! "no highs, no low's = not me"

Also, for wiring...go here...
http://www.knukonceptz.com/
get all the top of the line stuff.... (they are 1/4 of the price of the major brands, and just as good) (the Ecks line)

Hmmm...where are you planning on getting the Klipsch Amit?
Those speakers look very nice, but unless you got a source....its gonna be WAY overbudget. But hey, definetely get a thumbs up from me on those. Ive always been a HUGE Klipsch fan. Sure there are better brands like Krell, etc, but dollar for dollar, Klipsch is great.
How many channels are you getting? Just 5.1? Or are you using all the 7.1 of the Denon?

As far as where to get it. I have a few connections. I should save at least 20% from the average going rates. I hope anyways.

you just addressed my next concern. 5.1 or 6.1? I never thought about getting a 6.1, because my family room isn't that big. Besides, I don't need all that surround. What do you reccomend, is it a big difference at home?

Also, spend some time and a little money making your family room (theater room) as soundproof as possible. Sealed doors, etc. makes a HUGE difference.
Also, are you going to the wiring through the walls?

Go to hometheraterforum.com, you will get some very good answers from guys who live for this stuff.
As for what I think, Denon is very good as well as Sunfire, which is what I have. One of the best speakers you can buy for the money are the magneplaners http://www.magnepan.com/
The MMG's cannot be beat for less than $2k a pair and these are $550 shipped I believe. If you can afford more the 1.6's which I have are excellent.
I have set up several 50k-100k systems and am not always good at keeping up with the sub 10k arena but there are some very good sounding systems even at the 2k range. Asking at hometheaterforum will put you in touch with guys who live and breath this the way we do cars. It is worth the time.
