BEST HOME THEATER SYSTEM

BEST HOME THEATER SYSTEM
I need help chosing a hometheater system. I watch a lot of movies and listen to music (mostly hip-hop). The system that I've always liked was a denon/klipsch package. I used to see a lot of ads for such a system, but haven't seen it in a while. I know klipsch was great 3-5 years ago, but there might be something better out now. Any reccomendation a complete system, or individual speakers/receiver to get would be awesome. I would like to spend less than $2000 for the whole deal. I want tower speakers for the sides for music, and looks aren't that important to me.
thanks for your help and suggestions.

I prefer Onkyo...
Onkyo HT-S990THXB. It's home theater in a box, but IMO the stuff is tough to beat. Their amps rock. This system retails for $1000 so with the money you save, you could buy a couple of nice tower speakers of your choice if you don't want the L+R+Sub combo for playing stereo music.
BTW, this system is 7.1 THX certified, 110w per channel.

Really LOVE my Athena Speakers, Couldn't beat the quality to price ratio in my opinion. I am running 6.1, so I have the older audition series - AS-F2 towers up front, AS-R1 rears, and AS-C1 for front and rear centers, also have one of their older subs, but you could find a better sub if you're going to listen to a lot of music. I still like plain old 2-channel when i'm rocking out.

Reciver, I have a Yahmaha, but mainly because I didn't have a hook-up for Onyko, and didn't want to front the extra money.

The best budget HT system I built lately used a Pio 1014tx receiver (the 1015 replaced it, and was just as good, they may have a new model out now, not sure) with Athena F1's in front (I prefer them over the F2's, but that's a personal preference), C1 center and some Polk rears I had laying around (otherwise would have used R1's).
The pio receiver for the money is impossible to beat, if they still make a good 101x series that is.

Well....for $2000, you are limited, but not out of luck.
For your budget....I would recommend.....
Reciever... Denon AVR 3806. Probably one of the best recievers you can buy IMHO, sub 10K.
Here it is for a great price.....Ive used them before MANY times, and have been very happy... Hooked On Tronics AVR3806
I wont recommend speakers, since those are very subjective, especially in home audio, but...
Klipsch are very good, but only their midline and up. The lower line that they sell at your local Circuit city arent that great. You are better off with Infinity. JBL is nice as well. Also, dont forget to leave about $100 bucks or so for wiring.....mayb $150. Knukonceptz has great prices on HT wiring, so you should be good.
Just please, dont buy Bose, Bang and Olufsen, or anything like that.....
