Aux input jack on ('05) factory head unit? XM
I'm looking to install a simple XM unit, probably the Delphi Roady2 since the price is decent. Instead of the FM modulator I would prefer to plug the XM unit directly into the head unit for better sound. Is this possible?
Anyone have experience with the Roady2? You like it?
Sorry, I tried to search but I kept getting error messages.

Yes, it is possible. You will need to get something like a PIE hon-aux connector from Logjam Electronics, I believe. Converts your changer input on the back of the radio to an aux input. That is the only way to get an aux input into the factory radio but many do it.

I think this is what you are looking for, pancake.

From what I am reading, it DOES allow you to use a CD changer if you use a Sony. It appears that you cannot use the factory multi disc CD changer if you have one. It will give you RCA inputs for your Roady but does not allow tuning it on your factory radio -- you must use the controls on the Roady. Is that what you are looking for?
Jeezl, I'm having a conversation with myself.
